Tracy Jane Stewart – Health + Safety Coaching NZ, West Coast

Tracy has had a diverse employment history, starting when she left school & trained as a chef, working in some absolutely beautiful locations through the country.

From there, her career moved into the finance sector when she became a NZMBA Mortgage Broker, and progressing to managing Geneva Finance’s Nelson branch.

After that, Tracy became Area Manager for Compass Group, overseeing the key relationships with the Nelson Marlborough District Health Board, Nelson Marlborough Institute of Technology as well as the Police Food Services for the districts.

She credits this is what started her interest and passion in Health and Safety, with many employees in diverse roles throughout the district. She had to ensure their day to say safety, along with the industry services she catered for.

Over the last 10 years, Tracy was a manager for Fonterra RD1, and as a dairy nutritionist. During this time, she assisted farmers with their business and growth, whilst allowing herself an inside into the rural understanding of Health & Safety in the Dairy Industry.

She has completed numerous courses and is certified in the Fonterra Business Program, Chemical Handling, Animal Nutrition, Confined Spaces and Working at Heights, as well as Workplace Drug Screening and Testing.

With the new legislation largely resultant from a mining tragedy, plus her partner also operating a successful alluvial gold mine, Tracy has personal and local motivation for keeping both employees and the general public safe.

Her hobbies include being outdoors, fishing, gold prospecting and relic hunting.
